DNA Sequencing Service

Full Sequencing Service

You submit your purified PCR products/plasmids, along with the primer, and we will label them using cycle sequencing PCR, clean up the reactions using Sephadex columns to remove unincorporated ddNTPs and perform capillary analysis on the 3730xl. We will then make the results available to you through our web-based system.

Please submit your purified DNA products pre-mixed with the primer according to the guidelines below in either 0.2ml individual tubes (if you have fewer than 8 samples), 0.2ml strip tubes or sealed 96-well PCR plates. Individual tubes should be labelled with the appropriate tube/well number to match that on the sample submission form. If you are submitting samples in a 96-well PCR plate please ensure that your name and the date of submission are on the plate.

In order to achieve a successful sequencing reaction and obtain good quality data it is vital that your DNA templates are well purified and accurately quantified. It is your responsibility to ensure that this has been done before sending the samples to us.

For advice on purification, DNA quality and quantification, and primer design, please refer to the Protocols section.

Submission of Premixed Samples - Premix your template and primer in a total volume of 5µl

Prices

You provide DNA and primers, we do the rest $11 per sample or $990 per plate

Capillary Separation Only Sequencing

You carry out the sequencing reaction and clean up the samples to remove unincorporated ddNTPs then submit them to us for running on the 3730xl. We will then make the results available to you through our web-based system.

Please submit your samples in either 0.2ml individual tubes (if you have fewer than 8 samples), 0.2ml strip tubes or sealed 96-well PCR plates. Individual tubes should be labelled with the appropriate tube/well number to match that on the sample submission form. If you are submitting samples in a 96-well PCR plate please ensure that your name and the date of submission are on the plate.

Please refer to the Protocols section for tips and information on setting up sequencing reactions.

We recommend the Sephadex-50 method for cleaning up fluorescently-labelled samples. If using this clean-up method please make up your samples to 20µl with water before submitting them to us for running on the 3730xl.

Discounted reagents and consumables can be purchased from us, if you require them.

Prices

You do your own reactions, and cleanup, and we run them $6.50 per sample or $440 per plate
